How It Started
During a thought-provoking conversation about football and the business landscape, two old friends discovered something remarkable. Between them, they had an impressive 40 years of officiating experience. Gene Bouwman brought his expertise on the field and previously as the President of Honig's Whistle Stop, while Hank Wang had 35 years of valuable knowledge in textiles and manufacturing in the sporting goods vertical.
Recognizing the combined wealth of experience they possessed in manufacturing and entrepreneurship, they made a determined choice. They decided to establish GR8 Call, with the purpose of manufacturing and selling top-notch officiating products tailored to the needs of major sports officials.

Our Founders
Gene Bouwman
A seasoned professional with an impressive 40-year background in football officiating. Notably, he has served as the former RMAC (Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference) football officials director, contributing to the improvement of officiating standards within the league. Additionally, Gene has held the position of President at Honig's Whistle Stop.
Hank Wang
With a rich background in integrated manufacturing spanning over three decades, Hank Wang is deeply committed to delivering top-quality, innovative, and technologically advanced performance products. His expertise lies in engineering products that excel at the highest level. Over the course of his career, he has specialized in crafting apparel and equipment for well-known sports and officiating brand names, particularly in hockey, football, and baseball.
